Birleşmiş Milletler Güvenlik Konseyi’nin 5 Nisan 1991 tarihli ve 688 sayılı kararıyla, Kürt halkına yönelik baskı ve zulüm uluslararası düzeyde ilk kez resmen tescillenmiştir.

1991’de IRAK Devletinde Komünist Lider Saddam’ın zulmünden kaçan yüz binlerce Kürt, Türkiye sınırına akın etti. Bu tarihi göç, insanlık dramının ve Türkiye’nin sergilediği onurlu duruşun göstergesidir.

By the United Nations Security Council’s Resolution No. 688 dated April 5, 1991, the oppression and persecution against the Kurdish people was officially recognized for the first time at the international level.

 In 1991, hundreds of thousands of Kurds fleeing the oppression of the Communist Leader Saddam in the State of IRAQ  flocked to the Turkish border..historic migration is a reflection of the humanitarian tragedy and the honorable stance shown by Turkey.
